The PassEDA Legislative Advocacy program is administered by the Pass Area Legislative Council (PALC). PALC serves as the unified voice of the region’s business community in the local, state and federal legislative process, providing opportunities to influence policy makers.
PALC keeps local businesses informed of pending federal and state legislation, thus enabling and encouraging them to become involved in the legislative process.
PALC Monitors and evaluates legislative and public policy issues at the local, state and federal levels of government as they relate to the interests of business and economic development in the San Gorgonio Pass.
The council, made up of representatives from PassEDA, area chambers, and other key business and industry leaders, establishes positions and takes action to influence legislation that affects the region’s business climate. PALC then clearly communicates its views to elected officials, and the community at large. The council utilizes its Legislative Updates page to report the current status of bills it is tracking.
